Thread Starter | The most important thing: Groove
hi guys, i have a question, when i listen to what %90 of the people listen , i feel like iam only listening, as iam djing last 20 years what i play is something different, i call it groove listening, i mean the music that makes you actually think ![]() i start to produce and i realized making grooves is not easy, in my opinion %95 of the beatport including top 100 list is not groove listining type of music. i criticaly listen the artist i like(audiofly, nick curly,io,maya jane, etc) and i realised every thing they do is in the groove. imean the reverb is in the groove, the pitch shifting is,delays is, i mean every step they take to produce is in the groove.so i was wondering any one knows a trick about this(except groove templetes or abletons groove control) and my second question is is there any vst or synthesizer that has groove control on it.i mean lets say i made a sound in a synthesizer and i put some phase effect on it and i want the output to be in the groove. |

The reason the phrase is Rhythm and Melody, not the other way around. Don't mean a thing if it ain't got the swing.

But yes, most of what is out there is very "non-organic", it is just the trend the music has taken, sorry. I am not fond of it either, but it is what it is. | |
