Roland Juno - G Overhall

Hi everyone ,
i posted this to geekslutz forum but it might be a bit to synthy for that so someone in here might help....

I recently got a cheap roland juno g but its a bit used . Any advice on these problems would be helpful

1. Missing arpegio button - seems pretty simple , open the synth replace the button

2. Effects button only works 25% of the time . Would deoxit spray on the contact be the best thing?

3. loose knobs , loose and scratchy volume knob that cuts out 1 channel when on 100% . I am guessing I need to order the knobs from roland and replace them by desoldering them off the board . will the new ones be loose and wobbly , is this a design thing or just them getting old

4 midi in port doesnt work . The bigggie . I have no idea what to do here . midi out works fine . midi in via the usb connector works . midi in port gets nothing . anything I can check?

I have a good multimeter , no scope though

Depending on how the previous owner used it one or more MIDI channels may have been disabled (it might've been more convenient than switching Local off). So, test that first - do any of the 16 channels work? You should be able to set "MIDI Rx" (receive) off/on per channel. If all else fails, figure out how to do a factory reset.

thanks yoozer,

done factory reset , did nothing . well it made the screen glitch less . does not seem to get any midi data , clock , transport so I am guessing its hardware

yes it has had a hard life . it came from ebay as a fully working sale but they refunded me heaps of the money so it was very cheap . the fantom x sound engine is very nice , some actually nice roland digital filters for the first time in a long time
