He should do the honourable thing and get out of shot so the real talent can be seen.

So forget everything, but the girls, from the video.
But this is great produced music, super smooth, super predictable, and great vibes. Yes it's commercial as hell, all vsti bedroom produced probably, butit sounds good.

wouldn't call it the end, would rather call it the future.
probably 90% of the producers here on GS, admire just doing this......

Don't take EDM too seriously, there is a lot more money outside the Beaport Techno top 10

What gets to me is the fact that he puts on a headset and pretends to "dj" in the middle of the tune.

dude, you're such a nerd. how does something like this affect you? why do you always gripe about hipster shit like it's anything more than a passing phase? this sounds like a lot of stuff on pop radio, Ke$ha and all that shit.

also, i heard no 'chip' in there at all. and wtf does this have to do with techno? there's some great techno being made these days.

either way, it's better than the nu-industrial shit i heard at the club tonight. that shit absolutely kills me.

EDIT: i was hoping for more tits.

Because I've seen it not change for a long time.. things used to change. It's not a passing phase.

btw - I don't want to argue the meaning/context of hipster.

I hear TONS of chip in there. It also reminds me of chiptune because it sounds like mockery.

I guess that's my problem,.. I hear this and I just think .. "hey kids, get your own fuking thing".

btw - the new episode of South Park about "Tween Wave" fueled this rant.

Not saying it's what techno was.. but it's what techno is now.

in the context of this thread. I'm keeping it simple and calling techno and house the same... because in the end they are

Not sure if the music in that video should be called techno. It's more like german hard house or something. Dunno really. I remember hearing that stuff in the late 90s and hating it So that music didn't evolve from anything in the last 13 years or so. It's been here all along and it's been quite popular all the time, at least in Germany.

If the music sounds like a washing machine or like a band in a washing machine, there's a good chance it's probably techno. But then there's also different kinds of techno which doesn't sound like a washing machine. Here are two techno tracks in opposite ends of this spectrum.

Here's some good techno:
Manuel Fuentes - Northern Darkness (Brad Lee Remix)

This is pushing it a little bit, but I'd still call this techno. It's the other end of the spectrum though:
Sharooz - My Distressor

To a lot of people a track with a 4/4 kick drum is techno. Those people are generally a bit out of touch with EDM in general.

Yeah, the world need another DJ performing with a mask on his head!

I was thinking techno was dead when I heard Vengaboys in the late 1990's. But hey, the kids dig it:

since years, im saying there's no more evolution in Techno- i've been active in that scene from '93 till 2001 ... but it is still alive, and it'll stay alive !

The Club-Scene has nothing to do with those kind a bullshit, dont worry ...

That lead riff is ripped off a huge club hit from about 18 months ago. I know because the sheila's play it 10 times a day in the gym I go to.

Dunno what you guys are on about. This is the most amazing youtube video I've ever seen. I immediately started following him on Soundcloud and downloaded all his mixes.

Groundbreaking is the right word. Full support!
