Creamware Synth Modules

They are rather new units, but does anyone have any experience with
either the creamware PRO-12 or the creamware MINIMAX?

Hi there! I'm using CW synths and other tools every day, I run them on my dsp cards. All I can say is "wow"! I'm really grateful that I was introduced to CW stuff by a friend. Pro-12 is an awesome piece of software, one of my favourites synths. Minimax is also amazing, though entirely different than the others. I do use it although doesn't fit as well as pro-12 in my musical universe, but that's just me...

If you want to ask more questions go here: www.planetz.com . That's where the CW crowd hangs out. Nice vibe over there.

If you're into synth, can't go wrong with cw, check the mod3 synth +flexor too! It's more than just synths, I mixed my last album entirely in the scope platform, using mixers and FX. OSX is not supported yet though.

Take care!

Thanks,

I had no idea scope product(s) had come this far.

You've just given me tons of reading to do.

(It looks pretty cool).

I hear ya! With the last upgrade I received many new plug-ins and I have a lot of study to cover the gigantic possibilities that are in my hands... One step at a time... we can climb mountains! With modular + flexor alone the possibilities are virtually infinite, so we'll have to live with it... Also check synth guru John Bowen's plug-ins for scope! Really powerful stuff!

CW deserves more attention, beacuse their products are amazing and powerful! Let me know if you join the PZ forums. My nick over there is eliam.

All the best!

I just received today:

(1) Minimax ASB
(1) Pro-12 ASB

The Minimax has been very impressive.
I have been comparing it to the Moog Voyager.

I am not that impressed with the Pro-12 presets.
(I have a Prophet-5 I got new in 83).
I will be seeing how many of the Prophet sounds
that I love will convert over to the Pro-12.

Looks like they spent more time on the
MINIMAX presets.

I will be determining if I want the Project scope
or the Professional scope.

I really don’t need a mixer, but I want all
the synths.

I joined over there as DaveH. (Original right)?

Exception made for guitars, flute and some of the percussions that have been acoustically recorded, all the other sounds have been generated with Scope Synths, mostly with the Modular+FleXor (90% of the sounds), some Prodyssey, some Pro12 and also the SixString guitar modeller, used only to model some unique pads, unnaturally stretching picking parameters and moving pick-ups in impossible positions....

Everything has been recorded, processed and mixed through Scope environment ( Cubase only used as a tracker and midi seq. with no vst's, all tracks to separate busses, summing in Scope Mixer). Mastering done in Scope dedicated mastering project too.

I could never go back.

What's that? Check my signature to know and have a read of the comments down the page. (a good listen at home would be better.... )

I listened to them carefully:

They sound good. NOT the same as the originals or new analogs, but good. Easily usable and better sounding than much of the existing current competition. Depends whether you care or not about having the exact qualities of the originals or are ok with something else.
