Speeding up a section of Audio on a track without pitch change?

Hello, I wonder if anyone knows if/how I can do this. Speed up just say 2 bars only on a particular track without affecting the pitch of the audio.

So the song is playing at the global tempo, and JUST those two bars on that track speed up with out pitch shifting and the global tempo is rollin along without changing either.

Can Time Warp or Audio Warp help me to achieve this effect. Can I do this in Cubase 5 or Ableton (those are my two DAW's .

I know I'll have to get my head down and find out the capabilities of Audio warp in Cubase but if someone can say yep thats a roger Cubase can do that no sweat, I'll get right on that.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Yeah timewarp will do that.

Or if you only want to change a small piece of audio use time stretching. I think in cubase you have to drag the end of the audio clip with alt pressed, or something like that.

In cubase there many time stretching algorithms, experiment which one works better. I think you can change it in the preferences.

Yes - In Ableton drop two warp markers at the first beat and the last beat (at the start of next bar). Loop the selected area, then change the tempo with the global tempo at the top left. To save right click and either hit consolidate or freeze and then flatten... depending on which is available but I'd go with consolidate first as its quicker and doesn't print effects.
