Sorry Guys, but I just had to share this one...

Saw this on local CL:

Moog Voyager

"Regardless a great gem for anyone who can appreciate true analogue sound"

I think I've hurt myself from laughing. I really have.

The address is firmly in the worst ghetto in town too. Gotta be a joke (doesn't it?)

My first thought as well, but sadly I think about 80-90% of the stupid junk on CL are from people who are dead serious (at least Toronto CL).

Selling dangerous goods, is illegal in many if not all countries. And even in cases there is information about their state or even a contract term that lifts liability in case of injury/death, its still illegal and such a term invalid.

Sorry my lawyer inside me could not resist.

hmmmmm. well, never fear, that photo/craigslist post is definitely a fake (clearly, i suppose). not sure who the joker posting the ad is, but the image is taken from my band's video shoot from a couple years back. here is the original pic, taken by my bandmate lyle, who also built the dummy voyager for the shoot (as well as a fake prophet 5, and a large 5u fraudular):

and here is a detailed post on our website about his process for making the dummy synths (as well as a couple more aftermath pics):
Fake Synths Process Post « Shout Out Out Out Out

and here is the video:

I really wanted fellow synth nerds to have a few heart palpatating moments of uncertainty when watching the video,
Did you get any threatening letters?

Other than that building fakes for this was probably expensive but utterly awesome - far more so than taking an actual synth that ceased to work and shoot it up for kicks.

My favourite is when people troll other ads. Somebody on the Toronto CL had a 303 up for like $1800 a couple of weeks back, and somebody else promptly took out an ad located in 'dreamersville' calling it an expensive doorstop.

That's extremely impressive. The amount of work that went into replicating that stuff.
