Akai S3000, Chicken Translator, & Jaz Drive

Bear with me, this is a little tricky to me. I'm getting an S3200XL along with a Jaz Drive (1GB). Everything is set, so now I've got to figure out how to convert all of this stuff. I was looking into Chicken Translator but I'm not sure that it can export to S3000-series file formats properly. When I looked at Chicken systems Translator I'm able to select 'AKAI IMAGE - Akai AK1/AK3' format but it always outputs as an AK1 file regardless if I've got the S3000 formatting option ticked. Can the S3200XL even read this AK1/AK3 file format, or is this image format something I'm supposed to copy over to something later?

Which brings me onto the Jaz drive (1GB). Once I find out how to properly convert samples to the S3000 format using Chicken Translator, is there some special method to get these samples onto my Jaz drive disks, and will I have to use Chicken Translator to do that?
