not a stupid question we all start somewhere. You load them as samples into your DAW's sequencer. What are you using?

You'll want to load them into the ESX24 sampler. You will be able to do multi-sampling too which will allow you to assign different drums to each key etc.

Here's a tutorial for building a drum kit in ESX24:

Try the Native Instruments Battery - one of the easies way to have all your drum samples lined up on the keyboard. Thought it will take some time to get familiar with it.

Someone already mentioned throwing them on ESX 24, which is probably the way to go, but putting them in ultrabeat (with the drag and drop preset) has been pretty convenient for me as well. Just open the browser on the right and drag them into the box (or whichever note you want it on in ESX 24.

If you want to fire the samples from a midi keyboard you need a sampler such a ultrabeat (included in logic), battery, bpm (from motu), etc.

All those use "cells", and each cell is assigned to a midi note. Depending on the sampler you can have multiple samples on each cell, or fx, etc.

You could also use esx24 (included in logic), or kontakt, but the ones I mentioned before are specifically designed to be used with drums samples.
