Thread Starter | Compressors where you can change the attack/release curve
Does that even exist? Im posting this on this forum because Im more interested in the software options. Edit: I just realized the term "curve" may not be the most clear. What I meant is being able to change the slope of the attack/release curves of a compressor. For example in Zebra you can do that for the envelopes with a slider, so that is becomes more linear, more exponential/logarithmic, etc. |

yeah. MH Channel Strip allows you to set any attack curve but not release.

The m-pressor vst has a switchable release slope with "log" setting. Sometimes the shape of the control signal in the sidechain determines the shape of the release curve, perhaps not so with very short sounds though. |

| e, a bit, its a bread&butter type strip yet easily on par with or better than Sony-Waves. Its very transparent and surgical, not a character plug, but tends to lift a signal alot before you even hear any compression which is great, awesome on drums.PS not sure if its different with the Au/Vst version but i run it in a ULN-2's 80bit mix engine. |

I had a TF Pro P38 which had settings which emulated cuves of classic compressors... Also I think the upcoming Overstayer VCA has a 'behaviour' knob that affects the curves... |

Combinations of compressors in either series or parallel can produce the desired results. Or better yet, automation curves
