I remember seeing it on sequencer.de many years ago. There is more information on it there.

If i recall correctly; the original builder had a startup screen graphic custom made by Alesis - and only one was ever built and never intended to be a production item.

that pictures isn't real. Just look at the wooden side on the left .. the wood is drawn into the pic .. the shadowing is wrong etc ...

The Aurora is real. Does this looked photoshopped? Or this?

I don't believe it actually has the knobs, bar LEDS and joysticks on the top in the OP, though.

I ran Alesis' synth division during Andromeda production - I'm actually the one who named it. Kris Rhen made the one Aurora using one of two black on blue front panel overlays we made. I actually loved that overlay, but most people thought it was too dark.

great to know. i love my a6 for what it is, but i think it's ugly as hell.
looks like a cheap digi synth .... ;-) wish you would have used the black overlay.
beside that the mod in the first pic is photoshoped imho. the other mod looks great. but it's basicly just opening up and angle the top, no? still great though.

Dude... That's WAY fake! The Hulk and Mr. Incredible are, like, WAY bigger than that in real life.... Jeez...

I repeat - the pic in the first post does have photoshopped elements for sure...but yes, Virginia - there is an Aurora.

Google Alesis Aurora.

All of the pictures YOU posted links to of the synth were obviously real. But I still maintain that The Incredible Hulk and Mr. Incredible that appear in those pictures are fake because I happen to know them personally and they are WAY bigger in real life.

Google The Incredible Hulk and Mr. Incredible.

P.S. Sorry Bryce. I should have used this: Or perhaps this: Or maybe even this: in order to convey this:

I WANT THAT.

I will compose myself...

Ahem. As a second-time Andromeda A6 owner, I am VERY curious as to what all the business at the top of the unit is all about. Is that a voice mixer?

Additionally, the panel looks awesome.
