Actually I'm amazed at how focused and simple most people's studios are.

And what's up with the Alesis 3630 showing up in so many top producer's racks?

for cheap stuff!!!

edit: oh, and is the Prophet 08 the most seen hardware synth in all those setups?

That Imogen Heap studio is as "girl-ish" as it gets. I mean in a good way. It is refreshing to see a studio that defies what you usually see. Not my style, pink and fuzzy ball et al., but thumbsup thumbsup thumbsup

Great link man! Thank you!

Those pictures prove one thing: the most essential piece of gear any top producer needs is a good chair.

good1 CR

pretty random collection of artists but interesting to see a lot of guitars and stuff. jazzinova was like "we had 1 synth track on our whole last album." lots of nice mics and pres

a lot of peeps had hardware but said they didn't use them all that much. i think it helps if you have a select few pieces and stick to your guns instead of spreading yourself thin

my 2c

Imogen Heap's studio featured in Sound On Sound at some point. I love how she has created the perfect environment for her creative flow.
