you have 2 main paths in the internet world

1. create something so mind blowing , so game changing , so amazing the world beats a path to you door , labels are throwing record contracts at you , dj offers are streaming in from all over the world , big time producers are throwing cash at you for remixes

or

2. hard work and steady promotion . post you music on sites , forums , streaming content sites , get your bio up on the web , blogs , discogs , create videos of you in the studio on youtube . send tracks to labels , djs , radio stations , netradio , other producers . if you dj or play live do so every chance you get , network with everyone you can . slowly and surely people notice , you get a following , you get a couple of releases and things go from there. if your tracks are good . most of all keep writing music . write as much as you can as often as you can . this is an art and you must hone it to a diamond tip point . it takes a lifetime

I am not a big house fan so I am not going to comment on your skill levels except you sound pretty good enough for pathway 2 . not saying your not good enough for pathway 1 but if it was going to happen that way it would probably have happened already

so get working

So your journey has begun.....

You've created a profile on Soundcloud, now it's time to get exposure, share you tracks in groups, create followers and get noticed
attend remix competions, raise your profile have people appreciate your skills.

To be quite honest, your tracks are mediocre at best. If you would spend some time in SC groups, you will find about 5.000 of these kind of tracks being uploaded there PER DAY......

Now go to Beatport, listen to the Tech House top10 and the "amazing tracks" compilations and ask yourself, Am i as good as they are? what's lacking? Now don't feel dissilusioned, but feel empowered and improve yourself.

Regarding labels, with companies like TuneCore EVERYONE can be a label.
A label means jack shit. your tracks are yet not good enough for an A-list label, but you can release yourself everywhere except beatport

for Beatport you either need to find a label that is enrolled on Beatport, or invest in an aggregation contract with online aggregators like REBEAT.

So what is your goal?
- being recognized by a major EDM label and being asked to sign? > your not there yet
- Get your stuff on Beatport? just draw your creditcard and oyu will be up there within 2 weeks.

Or hand your demo's to some big name producers/DJ's see what they think. If they don't like it then you aren't really going to do very well even if your stuff goes onto beatport.

1. Listen to lots and lots of similar music
2. Make a list of your favorite labels
3. Ask yourself, and be honest - is my stuff of the same caliber as material on said labels, and are there other labels of similar level that I could send to, IF ITS NOT AT THAT LEVEL - keep working till it is. The point is dont shop stuff to labels till its good enough.
4. Get 2-3 tracks of your best tracks together
5. Find contact info for prospective labels, see what they think! don't brute force your demos on each and every label, nobody will listen.
6. $$$$ PROFIT $$$$ (yeah right, haha)

Getting your stuff on a decent label is your best avenue for 'success' in this biz. You can do all that stuff yourself, (get to the download portals) but nobody will listen. There's an ocean of sub-par EDM for consumers to sift through, Label release lends credibility for people to at least listen

good luck!
