Korg Monotron and TR808 Demo

http://soundcloud.com/architecture-1/monotron-demonstration

Something I whipped out real quick with the Korg Monotron and TR808. I must say, the Monotron sounds proper analog, love how it sounds in the high range. I think if Korg made a keyboard version of it, it would be a hit.

I agree on the keyboard version.

Did you play that or use a modified monotron?

i think korg could easily make a keyboard version that costs as much as a microkorg. It wouldnt be fancy but im sure itd sound great if they made the monotron sound as good as they did.

i agree, the monotron is only crippled by the crappy amp they used. The filter and osc sound pretty good. It's a great little synth for crazy FM sounds.

I wish korg had made it a $200 synth but with with a decent amp and midi in.

the filter in part was the more dissapointing part of it, everything produces a hum when its plugged into it. but its 60 dollars.

If they can get that good of sound for 60 bucks, they can do wonders at 399 dollars.

I think and hope it's a trend.
Give just a pice of it out for peanuts and get some attention.
Korg like most manufacturers isn;t even interseted in building anything unless 1000 units are spoken for makes no sense.
I'd love a rack version, keep the keys.
