Only recently discovered Com Truise. Heard of him ages ago but for some reason never checked out his stuff. I'm a sucker for that 80's sound & he does it as well as anyone

If you're going to go there, it's hard to forget

Like the vocal treatment on this track. Lyrics are pretty neat as well.

Anyhow, I really like the spring reverb on vocals and instrumentation in lots of 60's french pop.

Para-ones new album was pretty decent passion i think it's called

He's like a more sophisticated take on the french sound

Apart from that most albums and music i've been digging lately is fairly old

I just came back from Moogfest, so I've been listening to quite a bit of:

Thomas Dolby - His latest album, the first in 20 years, is an eclectic mix of styles and themes...all of them expertly crafted. He is a consumate artist and performer. One of the best I saw.

Miike Snow - This trio really crafts everything from raw waves of crashing sound to ethereal, almost delicate vocal textures. They know how to use synths without coming across simply as an electronic act. An amazing show, too!

Explosions in the Sky - Almost TOO raw in person, this Texas post-rock combo would lull you to sleep (hey, it WAS almost 2am!), then crescendo to a raging holocaust of guitar chords that would blow you from your seat. The VIP seats were WAY TOO DAMN CLOSE to the line arrays. I love post-rock instrumentals, and EitS is the archetype of the sound.

Nothing new under the sun, it's basically just a cut up disco track with a huge kick under it, but works like a charm for me.
