Very cool software editor for the Akai MPC 1000, MPC 2500, and MPC 500!

Hi guys! If you use a modern MPC, check this out!

I was using BlueBox before to create programs, but found it wasn't that much faster than doing it on the MP. I searched a little more on the webz and found this pretty awesome open source program: MPC Maid.

It's insanely fast compared to anything else I've used.
-It has drag and drop functionality; drag in a whole folder and it asks you if you want to do velocity layers or one-per-pad.
-You can also copy Params (mute group and mono/poly) on all 64 pads at once.
-You can chop long samples, Recycle style, in the program itself!

Thanks, I'll check it out. I have an MPC-500 but I haven't used it much. Maybe this may change that.

id definitely be interested if this does work, ive got a 2000 but i dont use it too much due to it being a bit of a hassle to chop up samples

I can't get it to work for some reason.
I'm running windows 7 and have the latest version of java (7) but everytime I try to start the mpcmaid java says it's unable to launch the application and gives me these details:

CouldNotLoadArgumentException[ Could not load file/URL specified: C:\\Users\\DMANDI~1\\AppData\\Local\\Temp\\javaws16]
at com.sun.javaws.Main.launchApp(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.Main.continueInSecureThread(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.Main$1.run(Unknown Source)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

what does that mean?
does mpcmaid not work on windows 7 or is it the new version of java thats the problem. The laptop itself is less than 4 months old and has nothing on it.
why won't it work?
I would really appreciate some help, it takes me ages to put new programs on my mpc.
thanks
