Seems those who are bitching about it just haven't taken the time to learn how to use it properly..
You can't do this in protools - I've tried every possible configuration and read every piece of documentation and even asked on their forum and the moderator said he was not able to do this either and that it works in ableton.

WDM mentioned he is using it as an RTAS plug on his Mac. IMO, music software just runs smoother on a Mac, end of line.
I have ran it wrapped with Fxpansion as well as an RTAS with the same results.

I have ran the same config on a new mac I bought just for audio minus the maschine and it ran not one percent better at all actually.

I think the OP's review actually highlights some real shortcomings in the workflow (regardless of the DAW). I have been frustrated by the same things in Logic - make a beat on the Maschine, but then throwing that back into Logic and making changes / having to select blank patterns / not easy to play along to existing arrangements / etc. are all real workflow issues in my opinion.

Now, whether you are bothered or not by these depends entirely on your own individual workflow. However, these are not PT issues.

respect that you don't like it, but i could name a few whose opinions differs completely.

Maybe there needs to be a clear distinction between your personal frustration vs "don't buy this, because its horrid" that was the message i was getting.
