I've had it with headphones!!!

Producing electronic music on headphones is starting to drive me crazy. Not only am I worried about my hearing, but nothing ever translates properly. I do take breaks and I don't crank the volume either, but none the less I don't like it. Yes, i know i should get monitors, but there's no point as I live in an apartment with shitty neighbours. So what i'm thinking of doing is buying a 2 bedroom condo and converting one bedroom into a sound proof room. Hopefully a place that already has concrete walls. I don't want to get all technical, but is it possible to completely sound proof a bedroom? I mean to the point of being able to raise the volume to an adequate level to produce techno at 3am !! Has anyone done this sort of thing?? I realize it will be expensive, but this is my passion and I'm willing to splurge some cash to find a solution.

Expensive is the key word here! You basically build a decoupled room within a larger room, original room has to be large enough for this. All doable with enough money/time/will power. Check out the Studio Construction sub forum, some amazing builds in there!
