Pryda, Axwell, Sébastien Léger...what should I listen to now?

I like Pryda, Axwell, Sébastien Léger...I like melodies, good arrangements, vocals sometimes when it ain't cheap

I hate Arno Cost, Tiesto, Funkagenda etc etc etc etc

What should I listen to (I'm talking abt house music only)?

I make music more than I listen to...I want to 'disover' some good producers, famous or not

I was going to say "decent old-fashioned soul music" when I read "melodies, good arrangements, vocals"

Let technology and other people do the work for you: Pryda and then follow the yellow brick road of "similar artists".

I could have swore I replied to this just after the OP... I hope I didn't post in some other thread by accident!!

Check out Metro Area... clever music & arrangement, and DEAD classy.

Uhh??

Did you post this same question twice, but with different titles?

Melodic house?

Weird.

Henrik B
Eelke Kleijn
Henry Saiz
Maybe even Dirty South if you're into the more electro side of things?

I second Henrik B, he's probably the most similar to Prydz without being another alias.

I like the last remix of Henrik B with Axwell, but don't like his solo stuff...dunno why, it's clean, well produced, but I guess I find his melodies too cheesy

Don't know Eelke Klejn and Henry Saiz! I am going to check them! Thanks!

Ans, yes, Dirty South, love his last single...nothing fresh, but this is a good track

thanks guys

It's difficult for me to name specific artists based on the info you provided;
I find that in the electronic music game, it's more about the specific tracks than a particular artist who is defining the sound. All the SHM fellas have a diverse range of sounds track to track, and appeal as 'bangers' to people based on their personal tastes.
I like a lot of the stuff from the swedish clan but I can remember distinctly (it's been awhile since I listened to a lot of Prydz et al) that there were standout tracks that i'd keep in que and let the rest fall the the wayside.
So yeah if you name some particular tracks which appeal to you most i'd be happy to list anything i find hot with a similar sound.

Oh and I saw Axwell play at electric zoo this weekend and heard SHM "One" and Steve Angello "KNAS" at least in 5 different sets a piece ;]

a big fat +1 on Kollektiv Turmstraße

amazing tracks, great arrangements and still very dancefloor compatible if you ask me.

I totally LOVE Marek Hemmann´s productions these days - imho he is the most talented & inspiring tech-house producer in germany atm
