Pro Tools MIDI Help
I use my MIDI controller to trigger drum samples in Reason NNXT Rewired into pro tools. So say there is a drum sample on C4. If I lay out a drum track that I want to play to, and load up a piano in Xpand anytime I hit the C4 it will play my drum sample also. I don't want to mute the track because I am playing to it. I've tried changing input in Instrument View. Is this possible to fix? I can think of ways around it (turning my MIDI drums into Audio) but would like to see if there is a routing problem as i like to keep it MIDI while I am still building a track.

Check your MIDI output assignment... it should be set to whichever plugin you wish to send the MIDI to.

Kick, Snare, Hi Hat are all assigned to the NNXT while my piano track using Xpand is assigned to Xpand.

You might have a master controller set up in Reason. Disable all control maps in Reason's preferences.
