What happened to Macbeth?

I just noticed their website doesn't exist anymore. It did yesterday though.

Is it just the website or did they go bankrupt or what?

Lame. Looks like the domain name expired and got snapped up by some company squatting it trying to sell it (or it fell back to the domain service it was registered with).

Whois shows that the domain name expired on 5/21.

I'm sure nothing bad happened to the company, just having issues with the domain name is all.

If anybody knows a non- @macbethstudiosystems.com email address for him, or a Gearslutz account to PM him on please let him know what happened. I searched a bit and couldn't find an email address for him other than the macbeth one and that one won't resolve anymore with the domain expiring.

Somebody ought to let him know so he can straighten it out.

Just sent him an email. Hopefully it's not too late to clear this up.

Cool, hopefully it just fell back to his registrar and he can get it back by paying his $15 or so.

There is a mini-site for Macbeth within the RLMusic website:

www.rlmusic.co.uk

Hi guys- thanks for your concern and comments! I should have the website up and running again on Monday (I hope!) ........yes- it slipped my mind to renew it! Life is a funny old thing (and sometimes not!) ...currently I have had my mind a tad distracted by a relationship break up that I'm going through just now...but life must go on. I'm well excited about getting my new 5U format equipment out and this is what I have been concentrating on in depth!

Again- thanks and regards to you all, Ken

Hi Ken
I've send you a couple of emails in the last month or so, regarding M5Ns. No reply!
I'll take there are no longer in production??

Cheers
P.

Hi Phaidon- apologies for that. Ok- the last M5Ns were produced early last year and after the production ceased, I decided to go the modular way. Certainly for the time being- I have no plans to produce that instrument again- on the flip side of that- I do have plans for a more compact unit that will certainly embody all the characteristics of that synth. The Mk1 modules that I'm working on just now may well be put together for a 'normalised' patch based synth- just like how the M5N was...

Best- Ken
