anything w/ CV-in will play fine.

even a single filterCV input [like on many vintage synths] can be exploited to great effect using a CP251.
whatever you use with it, though, the more CV inputs the better

It is a nice little box. There are certainly other ways to go if you want to start getting into modular stuff but it is a nice way to link stuff together. It works very well with the CV expander in a rack to make a Voyager or Little Phatty into a small modular and/or integrate into a modular system. You can use it to mix inputs into your various devices, add random S&H modulation of a cutoff or other control, and other stuff.

I have been looking at the Drone Commander for awhile. Eric Archer makes some nice stuff and the quality on the Drone commander looks great.

How do you like your Drone Commander? Does it feel as solid as it looks? How about the filters, what do you think of them?

Do you have any audio demos of the Drone Commander? I am tired of watching the same two videos on youtube. They are great videos and there are a few audio demos on Eric's website but I want to hear something new before I commit to buying one of these.

Got any demos of the Drone Commander filtered with the Sherman?

Sorry I cannot help with your cp-251 questions.

Niicccee! sold! i'll give it a whirl, since moogfoogers hold their value pretty well.
as for the drone commander i might post a clip of me running it thru my sherman/ rodec in a day or 2. i cant speak highly enough of eric and the drone commander. the build, the sound, the look, and the ease of use. worth every penny. blows away my kcp glamour box. got mine with the gold plate and marshall knobs so it matched my marshall half stack. so awesome!

Hi,

Following up late on this thread; didn't want to start an entirely new one

What about guitar pedals with expression inputs? Like the Boss PS-6 Harmonist BOSS U.S. - PS-6: Harmonist or the Malekko B:Assmaster. Could the CP-251's say, LFO output be plugged in to these?

Thanks!

Yep, though you may need to attenuate the CV. I always use attenuators, connecting the mod CV cable when the signal is turned all the way down (no voltage being passed). Then I bring the CV level up to the desired level.

Worry free patching!

Awesome. I was hoping this would work, though honestly I was looking to just get a Robot Factory LFO mod box, but the RF dude won't get back to me:( I think I'll be happier with the multi-functionality of the 251 anyway. Kind of scared of it though; this will be my first foray into that world..

Thanks for the response!
