Would it be afe to buy this - 3rd party extension for sound card (sound quality?)

Just got an RME 9632 and need the other breakout cables. Just saw this one (LINK BELOW). Anyone know if the sound quality will be Kosher compared to the one you can order from RME?

QUALITY CANARE DONGLE BREAKOUT CABLE FOR RME HDSP 9632 - eBay (item 130376844840 end time Apr-21-10 10:18:19 PDT)

all cables sound a bit different...
single conductor vs. stranded vs. super stranded
copper vs. silver vs. OFC 99.99% vs. 99.999% vs. 99.9999% vs. 99.99999% vs. etc...
shielded vs. non shielded vs. double shielded
twisted pair vs. non twisted vs. super twisted pair
20awg vs. 22awg vs. 24awg vs. 26awg vs. 28awg
high capacitante vs. low capacitante
high resistance vs. low resistance
shielded dsub vs. non shielded dsub connector
etc...

anyway... it looks & seems better than the stock RME cable.

You probably already know, but I thought it worth mentioning that Daubai is somewhat focussed on signal intergrity, so take the advice for what it's worth. No offence intended Dubai, but a little perspective may be beneficial here.

As long as the cable is made competantly, with appropriate conductors and connectors, then you probably won't hear any difference.

Things like like shielding of the connector shrouds can protentially make some difference in certain environments. However, EMC for signal integrity is something which needs to be examined as a whole, in order to draw reliable conclusions, and there is no guarantee that having something like a shielded shroud would provide any advantage at all.

How much cheaper is it, anyway?
