Thread Starter | Would it be afe to buy this - 3rd party extension for sound card (sound quality?)

As long as the cable is made competantly, with appropriate conductors and connectors, then you probably won't hear any difference. Things like like shielding of the connector shrouds can protentially make some difference in certain environments. However, EMC for signal integrity is something which needs to be examined as a whole, in order to draw reliable conclusions, and there is no guarantee that having something like a shielded shroud would provide any advantage at all. How much cheaper is it, anyway? | |
