I'm making this list to remind myself to SELL SOME GEAR!
Synths:
Ensoniq ESQ1
Korg Monotron
Korg X9-11
Oberheim Matrix-1000
Realistic Moog MG-1
Roland MKS-80 Super Jupiter/MPG-80
Roland Alpha Juno 1
Roland GR-700/PG-200
Roland W-30 (analog filters, does that count?)
Sequential Circuits Sixtrak
Yamaha CS-01
I very much miss my Korg Poly-800 and Roland JX3P.
Drum machines:
Boss DR-55
Boss DR-110
Jomox MBase 01
MF Berlin MFB-502
Pearl DRX-1
Roland TR-606
Edit: Rhodes 73 Suitcase MK1 if that counts too.. (that one is definitely for sale)
Got 8 more synths, but they're digital or VA..... btw sometimes, I get sounds from the K2600 or the AN1x, or even the TG77, which are really, really close.
Have owned so many synths over the years, analogue, digital, virtual, VAs, Samplers, and on and on...
Seems to me that with good programming skills and good composition skills, the above two analogues along with my trusty Nord Stage and some virtual instruments and I have more than enough to make great music.
What a great time to be musician if not monetarily than certainly creatively.

Agree very much though I'd say the better combo would be Voyager and P08 — had a Tetra myself and never used it due to the interface.
Roland JX 8P +PG800
Juno 106
Moog Minitaur
Korg Monotron Duo and Delay
Hoping to add a Minibrute. Mopho and Tetra by next spring. Plus the original Monotron sometime soon. The Meeblip I just ordered isn't analog but looks fun
then i was heavily in debt, had stopped making music, and my car died. i had to sell it all to afford a new car.
today, getting back into it after a 7 year layoff:
acidlab miami
machinedrum sps-uw
dark energy
mopho
prophet 08 module
alpha juno 2
the one synth i still wince over getting rid of was the A6. i really, really miss that thing. it was hands down the most fascinating piece of gear i have ever owned, one that consistenly pleased me with its sound and versatility.
Not my opinion (as I haven't used a K250 yet) but I always got a kick out of this:
"The best damn toy a boy can ever hope to have" - Fred Mollin's (Television Composer) actual thank you to Ray Kurzweil for the K250 in the Liner Notes for the soundtrack to "Friday the 13th:The Series'" soundtrack CD.
Regards,
Frank

Never listen to opinions regarding gear. For every 50 nobodies on Gearslutz that say a piece of gear doesn't sound good enough to cut it, I know at least one somebody who is cutting it in NYC with that piece of gear.
Cool ! I have a lead on one but it is missing its power supply :(

I would have agreed with this but there was a space consideration and I figured the Tetra would do mostly what I wanted. Now, with the Moph4 I am glad to have the Tetra cause I can add the Moph4 and have an 8 voice prophet with the additional sub oscillator and feedback features.
But yeah, programming from the Tetra interface is a bit of a drag. Worst part about this synth is that the digitally controlled analogue is buggy to the extent that the digital seems to respond faster than the analogue and so when you start to get cooking on the programming you're very likely to crash the thing.
I am hoping the Moph4 will change that.
That said, I also have to say that to use a purely analogue setup these days is difficult. There are those that use modular because it affords them the widest possible capabilities of sound design and they have the space and expertise on their particular rigs.
But if you are not using modular, a few analogues and some well implemented soft synths certainly will get you great results.
The funny thing is, my wife, who knows nothing about synths, heard me checking out the Tetra against of all things, Omnisphere. She immediately identified Tetra as having a superior sound quality. It may not have superior functionality, no surprise there, but in just sound quality alone, it was obvious to her.
The significance of this is the often repeated mantra that although analogues do sound better, once placed in the mix nobody will know the difference anyway. Though I do not have any objective, quantitative proof to the contrary - my wife's observation being the closest thing I can point to - I don't necessarily agree that listeners or all stripes cannot tell better sound quality. They may not be able to identify the source of the differences or even define what those differences are, but they certainly can tell the difference even if it is mostly on a subconscious level.
I therefore understand this thread. What I don't get is why some people have multiples of the same synth or, simply more synths than is necessary.
Whenever I see a list of 20 plus synths I often wonder about the owners proficiency on the various instruments. Of course that person may be extremely proficient on each and every one of the instruments since they all function is essentially the same say, but then, that raises yet another question.
I guess that I haven't posted yet in this thread. I recently added a few pieces....
DSI Prophet 08
ARP Odyssey MkII 2810
ARP Little Brother
Doepler Dark Energy
Arturia MiniBrute
Moog Slim Phatty
Moog CP-251 (not a "synth" but a CV processor)
Have a Poly 800 in the basement - not sure if that qualifies as analog though but I've seen it listed in this thread. Haven't used it in years!
Ahh it's a sad day - my MKS80 rev 5 won't power up anymore
When I turned it on today it was running, but the programmer wasn't powering up. And the Mks80 did not seem to show any midi signal lights.
Pulled the power plug in, as it was a bit lose, and then the Mks80 is dead
Hopefully it's just the power supply.... time to call Steve Jones!
edit - looks like Steve's website is no more, retired?
