Hey Roginator!

How are those things? I understand it has a sound not dis similar from a Prophet 600 or even a Roland @juno, but seems like it never was quite cool enough to become a classic.

I found it nice sounding

it have THAT ssm VCF!!! I think its like ppg ssm 2044.. and sound really good, ADRS are fast even for fast good percussions.... no clicks and pops

DCO is well DCO BUT 2DCO and SUB per voice makes it really strong...

Ensamble is nice and rich!!! but noisy

well its like JX on steroids!!! far better VCF and no software ADSR!!! i think ADSR is also SSM 2056

what is really good are stacking 2 sound and detuning them ... FAT!!!!

bass is great ..not best but great... leads are cutting and I like it

well . uhhhh might keep it but im not sure

sounds really good
!!!

here are some videos from TUBE
YouTube - Kawai SX-240 | demo by syntezatory.prv.pl (if out of sync, read instructions)

i picked one of those up at G.C. in Nw Brunswick, NJ in 1999 for $199.00. it was a fun synth, but if i recall, you had to do a dance to get it to play nice on a MIDI channel and the big knob for editing was a PITA. but it has a great sound.

Thanks! Yeah, my Money Pit AKA PS-3300. The only good news is, whenever I repair that thing it sounds a little better afterwards. It was in terrible condition when I got it. At least it is simple enough for me to do repairs myself. Getting parts for it is another thing though.

Mine is far from being a collectors item. At the beginning my 3100 sounded way better. I am slowly catching up...

IN:

And my RE-201 should be here later today-ay-ay...

EDIT: Actually, make that Friday-ay-ay. Bummer. This Space Echo has been the slack-assest eBay transaction I've yet experienced.

Congratulations on the Sonar purchase. I picked up Home Studio 7 XL a while ago as my first entry into home recording. I was swamped with way too many technical details at first, but I eventually learned to use it. Have fun!

Got a TX7. It's a bit smaller than I thought it would be. Very solidly made.
