I just bought a virus C so stick a fork in me cuz I'm done. Got too much now, so I'm really focusing on being able to get the sounds in my head out of the myriad of stuff that has taken over the study.

I guess one cure for GAS is just to keep buying until it doesn't make sense any more. That's probably where I'm at.

I'm still not planning on selling anything and I'm just starting to build my xoxbox, so I guess there will be a Christmas.

Let's revisit:

Obviously, the solution was to move back to the other room, and to sell a lot.

And then this, in April:

It's September now, and still no Rhodes - but at least the funds are on the way.

i never know what pops up, so i couldn't say as far as new synths and outbard goes. i will need a good controller at some point which might as well be another synth.

but i would finally llike to organize my studio. it's a consuming process, finding what works. i just want everything racked up or outfitted in its own flight case w/ patchbays for a dynamic setup.

that, and ive been eyeballing a new recorder.

i don't have any money though, and it will probably take a couple years to do just that stuff.

wow funny to revisit this thread and realize this was not an especially good yr for me as far as equipment budget goes, of all of this i only got a small mixer for live, the AH Wizard3 16. and, instead of 2ch GR, i kept the 1ch and added two WSW late 60s preamps and eq's.

as for plans that are still viable to the end of the yr, i have to get a new I7 machine w 64bit system, as my old one has become quite slow n obsolete. also i'll probably pickup an original SEM, and Expert Sleepers plugin w ES-1 in next few days.

some sort of Macbeth is still in equation for later, esp. the new prototype minimac, a mini-minimoog .

I've got a Mackie CFX20 Mk2 and a Korg EM-1 on layaway, and they're about half paid off. Once they're in the studio, I'll have no where for my X-station to go! So that will mean, time to get a keyboard stand. Trouble is, the holidays are approaching, and I'll have to look into getting gifts for friends/family. But if I can, I'd like her to help me buy one. If not, I guess it's up to me to take care of. I was also thinking of picking up a used Mopho box (Even though I'd want the keyboard). Or maybe I ought to pick up some monitors for the Mackie. I wish I had some more time to include some more things, but that's what next year is for.

ooh i want a synthex too, not happening this year though.

so far remaining this year is probably a mks-20, mks-30 and an svc-350. Also thinking maybe some kind of effects unit and a 1u line mixer to mix down all my effects...

Picked up a 2TB Seagate external drive for backups, as I'd been operating w/o one up 'til now, a new WD Black 640GB for my OS drive, some nice custom Mogami cables from Redco, and Tannoy Reveal monitors.
