Thread Starter | January 2010 New Gear Thread I guess I'll go first: Image-Line's Harmless VST Pay as much as you want (minimum $9.00 USD). I liked the demo... sounded good...So I paid $15. Supposedly an additive engine doing subtractive synthesis. But that's it for VST synths (Except if Spectrasonics updates Stylus RMX). It's my New Year's resolution.

You should have fun with harmless, cramseur. I own it and quite enjoy it. It's very hard to go 'wrong' on creating new presets. As far as new gear is concerned, I invested some hours ago in the ocean way group buy and sampletron by IK. I'm very much looking forward to injecting some fantastic acoustic drums and real retro lo-fi action to my tracks, respectively. The grit on sampletron sounds phenomenal, while ocean way/drum masters speaks for itself. Both happen to be great deals as well, if you have a little post christmas/NYE cash lying around.

| I guess this would actually be December "new gear" but I'll post it here. It isn't really "gear" per se but a fun toy: ![]() I got the 32GB model. Anyone know of any good free/cheap apps for sequencing simple musical ideas on the go?

![]() the only synth app i've bought so far is jasuto pro not used it yet though. i do recommend iDrum. i use it as an AU softie inside logic. i see that they also do an iPod/iPhone app (which i haven't tried yet) which allows transfer between the app and logic, so that you can compose on the move. i mean to try this out in a while.

| I've picked one up as well should be here in a week. Now the only question is what coloured wood sides do I get from synthwood? Maybe mahagony or walnut. Has anyone got 1 with wood sides? What would suit it more? |

| Very cool indeed.. Id like one too, but i dont have the space. The maintenance worries me on such a large machine too. Plus they arent cheap and neither is 2" tape.. I hope my December purchase arrives in January sometime. USPS Priority mail seems to take about a month from the US to the UK these days.. |

This machine is a widebody..you could save space looking for a narrow body A80 or similar.

| Moderator | I bought a Cwejman VCEQ-3 (didn't collect or pay yet) but got a PM it's broken, and has to be sent to Sweden for repairs. That wouldn't be too much of a problem but in the meantime..... No soup for me. ![]()
