Two Lone Swordsmen gear

Hey all,

So would anyone have any insight into the gear Two lone swordsmen (aka Andy Weatherall) uses? I think there was a SOS interview a few months back but it barely touched on what i was looking for.
Does anyone know what he was using circa "Swimming not Skimming" and "Stockwell Steppas".
I know they love mutronics for tweaking, and i think some old Akai stuff is in there.

Thanks

Why do you need to know what X artist uses to make his/her stuff? Try doing it yourself with your own plugins and gear :D

of course!
but being curious about supersecret tricks is not wrong is it?

two interviews:
Andrew Weatherall Interview
Interview with Keith Tenniswood (Radioactive Man/2 Lone Swordsmen) | Future Radio 107.8FM
and a track just for the fun of it

Posts like this are funny. If we were talking about any other medium, such as painting, it would be fairly well understood that one must master the styles that came before them before they can develop their own style. Futhermore, there's no reason to believe ecologie or vkzo are looking to copy a style specifically, but rather are interested in learning a new technique, that they may or may not find useful.

As an aside, if you get a chance to listen to or read an interview with Weatherall, he's one of the most switched on and interesting DJs in a sea of mediocrity, and he barely even talks about music. Has a fantastic moustache too.

While I agree that one should find their own direction, this is a very good post.

Weatherall's a great producer and a very nice guy, he prefers hardware.

from what I recall, they mainly used Akai samplers and an Atari computer.

if it was in 96 then it could have been a S3000 in that case.
possibly a S1100 or a mixture.

around the time of the S3000 release, most people were using the akai's.
