We have just updated our website with a new page dedicated to Drum Tools

Drum Tools Teaser | Sample CDs & Sample Packs - Wave Alchemy

On this page you can read more info about Drum Tools and listen to the audio demos! you can also download the free samples from there too if you'd prefer.

click on the 'cue in player' button to listen to the audio demo. The demo was made by Alehoe, Simon Mattison and myself. All sounds come from the free giveaway pack! The audio demo only showcases the tiniest fraction of what will be possible with the full Drum Tools release

I will also soon edit the audio demo to include adl's demo track thumbsup

here is small demo from me. As you can here, it's not your "newschool" minimal style, it's more or less techno. it's only a freaky beta version. Time is tight.

used only battery, pitched and shaped the sounds in some cases.

nice job alohe and adl. Patrick, from 0:42 it sounds nice. I would set the snare not on the 3rd note.

File-Upload.net - homeproducer-drumdemo-v1b.zip

maybe too much bass. I am outside my homestudio.

Thanks for the support thumbsup glad you are enjoying the free sounds!

I might upload another 50 free sounds from the pack very soon

While we are on the talk of free samples, I have uploaded 200 completely free drum samples taken directly from our 'Drum Machines 01' sample pack! This pack includes high quality drum machine samples from the Vermona DRM Mk11 and Jomox's Airbase 99, XBase999 and Mbase11, all beautifully recorded in 24-bit through an API-512c Pre-Amp. You can check out the full library along with product info here:

Drum Machines 01 | Sample CDs & Sample Packs - Wave Alchemy

You can download the 200 free drum samples here:

Here is a Progressive House / Trancy demo produced by GilJ from the KVR forums. All samples are from our first Drum Tools library using only one instance of battery and its internal fx.

Hi All,

Just to give everyone a quick update:

Drum Tools 01 is just about finished. The reason for the slight delay is that we have decided to add another folder to the library called 'drum tools'. This includes sounds that can be used to create or enhance your own drums. Included are a variety of sub bass enhancers and transient attacks etc. We thought this would give the library more versitility

The release date is exactly 2 weeks from now and I will of course post here once it is up on our site.

p.s you can check out the finalized artwork here:

Only got around to really checking these out proper last night. I must say they are very good indeed, I'm impressed, especially with some of the kicks and fx. I don't generally buy sample libraries but I might make an exception here, great work!

Glad you like the sounds thumbsup

For the next couple of days I am also producing an additional 'bonus percussion' pack for the library. If anyone has any specific sounds they would like to see in here I would be happy to take it into consideration

Maybe some percussion from a specific sound source? distorted percussion? Im open to ideas on this.

Sound sources at hand in the studio right now:

Korg MS-20
Future Retro XS
ARP Odyssey
Moog Voyager
Culture Vulture MV
Sherman Filterbank

If you would like anything from a specific synth let me know, it could be fun to create some sounds based on others wishes!

All the best,

Dan

Things I'd really like

There's this pop/perc sound that's on every techno\tech house track. Sounds like an 808 clave with the pitch modulate with a square wave in the audible spectrum. But better.

Little kicks (alah vonstroke)

Lots of perc

Cheers.

There is a percussion folder in the library called blips & pops that contains many of the sounds you are referring to. The Retro XS is great for these types of sounds, especially when running them through a Distressor to bring out the transients.

The percussion folder now contains:

Toms & Tones
Blips & Pops
World Percussion
Misc Percussion
Bonus - Driven Digital (variety of digital drums from the MD UW, ER-1, Nord lead driven through outboard tubes / valves)
Bonus - Analogue Synth Perc

There are almost 500 perc sounds in all
