Problem with Tempo-sync/clock plugins...

Hey. hoping someone can help...

I recently made a bunch of hardware additions (Virus Ti, Mackie Onyx 820i mixer/interface, Moog Little Phatty) and I'm having some technical difficulties that I wasn't having before and now can't seem to sort out.

For instance... I open a new project with only a single software synth. When I instantiate a copy of Camel audio's CamelSpace plugin on the software synth channel strip I can hear the effectd sound fine (tempo synced resonance/cutoff and gating for example). THen If i click play on the transport and then click stop I can no longer hear the effected audio--Only a glitchy version. If I bypass the effect the uneffected sound plays back fine and as expected. However, when I switch the plugin back on I can hear the audio effected as intended once again BUT ONLY if I press play on the transport and play my keyboard while the playhead is in motion. You can imagine how distressing this can be if you're trying to tweak settings. This same problem works with all time synced effects i've tried (i.e. kore). Any ideas as to what could be causing it?

I'm running Logic Pro 9.0.2 with Snow Leopard on an 8-core Mac Pro with 14gbs ram.
