PSP Nitro for $9.99

Wow. One of my favorite plugins is being given away by audiomidi.com:

PSP Nitro from audioMIDI.com

I bought it for $75 (half the normal price) and I totally recommend it. It's like a semi-modular effects processor with envelope follower and two LFO's, and has one of the nicest bit reduction/downsampling ever.

These are some great little deals over at audiomidi.com! Off to test the "just-purchased" Nitro! Definitely considering the upgrade too to the whole effects pack (been trying to get my hands on the PSP delays for a while now).

To the OP, thanks for the heads up!!

Great filter/multi plugin. I worked on the beta and did presets for it. Very nice indeed.

I've never really used a plugin like this. I'm pretty much all hardware. I do have a delta 1010 that I use sometimes though. I guess I could use it with this software to have kind of an effects box?

What you actually buy is a serial number which is sent to you by email. You then create an account at PSP, download the full version and install it - then validate it using your serial.

Exactly. Even if you don't use softsynths, you can run your audio tracks through Nitro.

It's a great plugin. It has four "slots" and in each slot you can put a different effect (among various filters, distortion, delay, panning, gain, decimation, etc), and then you use a routing matrix to determine how the four slots are connected. You can even feed back one slot to itself. Then you have two LFO's and an envelope follower which can be used to modulate any parameter, or to modulate the gains in the routing matrix. And if that isn't enough, all parameters are automatable and controllable by MIDI.

It would be great if....

Just a thought....
Seeing great deals like this around makes me think it would be great if there were a sub-forum in the Gearslutz forum that was deadicated to stellar deals like info & links group buys or places we can tell eachother about great deals to be had.

I am not sure if this is do-able, but I know I love a good deal and it would be great to get a heads-up on cool deals to be had and I am sure many others would be as well. Perhaps this would also encourage many manufactures to create deals to entice us too.

What do you think?

i like that idea allot in theory, but it would be open to abuse particularly if it makes a real difference to sales (as this thread did i'm sure). dealers posing as slutz and a ton of spam. bacon, eggs, spam, spam, beans and spam

however i vote to give it a go and see what happens.

i suspect it would be ignored and any bargains would just get posted in whatever sub forum a particular slut frequents.

I can see it having some possible problems as well, but hell if deals like this are around I would love to know about them.
Also, if a company like Sound Toys wanted to give Gearslutz a 1/3 or 1/2 off deal for a month this would be a huge increase for their sales and expand their user base in a hurry.
I'd love to hear Jules opinion on such a thing.

New product forum usually has links to group buys when they pop up. Honestly, every single worthwhile group buy or major sale has gotten enough posts in individual threads in their related forums that I don't really see the need for dedicating a sub forum for it. Now separating the classifieds is something else....

I've mapped out Nitro's controls for Automap 3 on the Nocturn. Most everything is mapped except operator routing level matrix and the modulation matrix which are probably better adjusted with a mouse as there are so many of them. Window changes have to be done with mouse. 9 pages in all. Works fine. .zip attached.

Page 1 - Operator 1 & Main In, Out & Mix, Power On
Page 2 - Operator 2 & Main In, Out & Mix, Power On
Page 3 - Operator 3 & Main In, Out & Mix, Power On
Page 4 - Operator 4 & Main In, Out & Mix, Power On
Page 5 - All Operator Levels, Mutes & Solos. Main In, Out & Mix, Power On
Page 6 - LFO 1, Mix, Main Out, Power On
Page 7 - LFO 2, Mix, Main Out, Power On
Page 8 - Envelope, Mix, Main Out, Power On
Page 9 - ADSR, Mix, Main Out, Power On
Page 10 onwards - Whatever you want.

Mod matrix assigns & operator routing levels can be added on any pages after page 9 if required.
