audio damage is good
ohm force is good
if I wasn't using hardware I'd get this:

I like Cyanide (Waveshaper):

Bram.Smartelectronix.Com

And the Waldorf D-Pole (Distortion / Ring Mod / Downsampling):

Waldorf Music | D-Pole

For amp simulation I use Flying Haggis:

Flying Haggis - Virtual Guitar Amplifier from db audioware

And for polite Bit-crushing/Downsampling, I use PSP Nitro:

PSP Nitro the ultimate multimode filter plugin in VST, AudioUnit, DirectX and RTAS format

Without a doubt Kombinat. I use it on everything, its cheep as chips, but the presets suck. Sounds great when tweaked and automated.

I also like the d16 Devastor plugin, just wish they would hurry up with RTAS versions already.

im extatic about AmpliTube2 with Fender and Metal add-ons. better than GR3.

it not only accurately models tube OD/DS of all kinds, but equally important speaker/amp/mic placement too. its a f***** revelation !!! sounds great on rhodes, synths, drum machines and obviously guitars. either used as insert, or in parallel regime. i prefer the latter, so some of the original sound, with bandwith intact, can be sneaked under the processed one. forgot to mention, it does wah pedals, tape echos, flangers as well..

also, for more dist amp/speaker/mic & room modelling, i heard a collegue's Speakerphone.. wow.. just wow. at first i thought its only intended for audio post, but musical applications are beyond this world. worth checking out.

wanna try ohmicide.

+1 for D16 silverline

anything you run through it comes out sounding bigger/analogier/thrashier
was recommended to me here on GS and absolutely love that stuff...

I use D16's Devastor, Redoptor and Decimort, the free Camelcrusher from Camel Audio plus Ableton's own Saturator, Vinyl Distortion and Erosion.

Between all those I can normally get where I want to.

Also check out JB's Ferox, a tape saturation plugin that can do some great overdrive if set up correctly.

It pops up on every track I do somewhere.
