I have found this Logic Pro Help :: View topic - Bring back slave sync to MIDI Clock

Seem's like it could be logic 9 ?!

Kenton JP8 Midi manual

You'd have to clock the JP8's Arp via the clock/trigger in or Din Sync in, while Logic is sending via midi the notes to be arpeggiated.
To send din sync from Logic you could use a midi clock to din sync box etc
That might explain it. Check out this version of the JP-8 docs

It does mention support for MIDI clock receive.

So, the OP will need to pop the top (or watch the boot screen maybe) to see what version of the Kenton kit is installed. If it's not rev 5 or higher, it doesn't recognize MIDI clock. Contact Kenton about upgrading the JP-8 kit EPROM.
