I didn't buy one. I had the keyboard only for 2 weeks to write a review.
I have a Blofeld desktop however with sample upgrade.

Now if only they would sell it for $100. I paid full freaking price for my Blofeld. I deserve a break.

Great stuff! How did you put the sample upgrade to use in this piece?

First the drums obviously, a multisample processed with the Overflow drive curve in the Blo. Then there's the string sound and flute or pizzicato like sound in the interlude, the vocal aah in the main part, the mellotron like choir near the end. A few sounds with samples are less apparent because the samples were used as fm source.

Conventional recording: Blofeld via my Focusrite Saffire interface into Cubase. I was even too lazy to setup a multi, I just played and recorded one track after another.

This demo is making me rethink whether I want to give this thing a shot or not. Good job!

Nicely done. I really like the drums. Didn't think that the blofeld could do all of that. I missed the boat on that one

Would all of those sounds also be possible with the desktop version with the sampling upgrade?

An interesting question. Me too I plan to purchase the sample upgrade for my Blofeld desktop.

I think it should work, because the Blofeld makes no difference whether the waveform is an internal wave or a sample wave.

Nice job man. That's a great track no matter what gear you used, but truly amazing that it's 100% Bloaf. I never really got the hang of that synth. Now you have really raised the bar...

first, the synch master is always oscillator 3, slave is oscillator 2

oscillator 3 doesnt have samples and wavetables, only analog waveforms

wavetables in oscillator 2 can be synched, but samples won't snych

to have useful synching, the samples would need to be analised so the engine knows
the zerocrossings or pitch ( for wavetables this is known ) because
the engine needs to know where to jump to when the wave is synched

you could also just always restart the sample from beginning but this isnt very usful
cause you usually have a transient there and not much of a waveform, maybe even a
little bit of silence

there are not many synths that can do synch type sounds with samples
the upcoming SugarBytes Cyclop will do this and also Reaktor with the grain samplers
probably there are more but I dont know any

IIRC JD-990 was the last hardware synth with hardsyncing to samples. Not sure about V-Synth, probably not?
