Thread Starter | Akai MPC 5000 VS Roland MV-8800 for Live use
hey every one - im just wondering... Me and my band mate are a two piece who do rock electronic music kinda like the kills mixed in with hot chip and TV on the radio. Now i've heard that the MV 8800 kills the MPC 5000 for production but i really dont need a production machine, for that i use samplitude 10 and wave/urs as a DAW for mastering/ recording. What i really need is something with simplicity and vibe but mostly be used to improvise live. Sometimes I will play guitar, other times maybe sample the guitar and play it back live... I want improvising flexibility with my set up.. Now to me the MPC 5000 with its synth and all it seems to be more of an "instrument" that can be improvised on more so than the MV8800? is this a correct assumption. I will be using the machine we get live as the synth and drum parts first and foremost...
