Not sure if anything like this exists but imagine...a usb hub that would plug into the bottom of the phone. Then you plug your usb synths like the virusti or whatever into that via a few usb/midi inputs. I mean for live performances that could be pretty powerful. To trigger all of the midi and whatnot. Even have a few midi ports attached to that to send and trigger midi info to oldschool synths and other nonsense and just collect and mix all of the analog outs. I mean it should be pretty simple calculations just to trigger everything. I think I read somewhere that the iphone processor is equivelant to roughly 600 mhz? Should be plenty of power... Man if Ableton would just release a stripped down version of Live for the iphone then release some hardware usb/midi hub I know I would pay for it... |
