Exactly. How a label suppose to establish it's presence amongst the competition?

Thought I should bump this as it's been a while since the last post.

I was wondering if anyone had any new experiences of using rebeat?

bump for an interesting thread.

Is REBEAT the only way to "self publish" to Beatport?
I read on the DJTECHTOOLS forum that Beatport accepts approx 85% of REBEAT submissions.

I believe Beatport won't be happening any time soon with CD-Baby or Tunecore anyway.

Tunecore seems great for non dance music artists, but Beatport is very popular with dance music fans and DJs.

I asked about that and there is a one off fee (per label) to have Rebeat upload to Beatport with your label name. Apparently here are coding requirements at both ends.. Was a fair enough cost but that was a couple of years ago now so not sure where thats at now?

Not using it but interested, thats a lot of digital coverage and the Terms read well and fair.

Would be good to see some industry comparisons with the Rebeat offer. Rebeat costs are one off costs like codes so the money gets to the right place and the software. 15% of each sale. Rob is that of PPD (Wholesale) or after the individual stores cut?

A normal record deal is about 20-25% of PPD to the artist minus some production costs(correct me if thats not correct anywhere?). I guess that would also include distribution and maybe some gig bookings in most cases.

Also Rob how are sale prices determined? Do we choose or does the store its being sold on? I notice there is a fair range per track on Beatport.

Cheers all
