Man, Ikea rocks I'm going to have to finally check the local store out. I had no idea that they had a GS on their design team.

I have both the racks, with the simple wooden one I had this idea, and I like it. Very easy if you need a 2 unit rack just somewhere on your desk. If you don't have a dedicated desk, this is very easy, and the screen is on the right height too.

Edit: and they have amazing sofas for in the back of the CR! :D

HA. As I read this, I am leaning on my Jerker in my studio. I love it.

I am trying to find those. I want them to put my drum machines and MC202 etc on.

But I don't have an Ikea nearby, so I am just waiting until some come my way....

do they still sell those large cylinder shaped pillows with zippers?

Refill them with rockwool: ghetto style IKEA bass traps.

I use the REDD shoeracks to get my synths up on an optimum playing angle..... I have a Jerker desk as well (their fantastic). I am thinking of selling it though, to make room for my Argosy.

Are the EINA desks stackable????

I now have my monitors on proper stands and set up better in the room. I had to saw the Jerker desk down to accommodate the change. Maybe I'll take a pic. Saved me getting a new desk when I got the stands. Though I would love an Argosy.

well its time to go and visit ikea.....

its more cheep to buy it in ikea, and then modify it (3U or 4U ??? - its for my desk, and on it my screen's need to seat),then to buy the wood + the extra parts.

Dirty!!!!!!!!

Im not sure yet... Make me an offer.... Its the basic Jerker with 2 of the swingable shelves (great for monitor speakers), and the computer shelf that sits underneath and gets your cpu up off the ground....

It's good to see someone else who sets up the studio before adding the skirting board to the walls in their new studio ahahha

I've been meaning to do mine for a month now

Ikea storage shelves at my old place. There is no Ikea where I live now but the good news is that I might be able to get all my synths into the new studio ... eventually.

Nope not mine, thank fk. I would guess it was poorly built as all the Ikea stuff I've made seems pretty solid. Vinyl does weigh a lot though, someone told me one of the blokes from St Etienne caused structural damage to his house from storing too much vinyl in one part of it.

This little white cart is from Ikea. It's for bathrooms but fits my Voice of Saturn Synth & Sequencer perfectly. To add to the Ikea geekdum I keep cables in Ikea jars:
