Exactly. There are ridiculous amounts of plugins, that making lists can get out of hand pretty quickly.

I've found these are pretty solid. You need Pluggo to run them.

Stillwell Audio - It's About The Sound

Just bought their 'Event Horizon' today. Man, that thing has got AMAZING transparency. Best plugin limiter I've ever come across...I can easily get -9.0dB RMS without ANY unwanted nasties....it blows 'Waves' out of the water (pun intended).

Check out their other plugs too. All very cool.

There seems to be such a division in opinion on these stillwell plugs.
I'm still not sure if I should bite the bullet. Guess I should probably try a demo
Well, I have both plugs and I've done an A-B test in Logic and to my ears the Stillwell produces a cleaner, more defined sound. By that I mean the top end is still clear, snares and claps are still snapping and the bass end remains in tact.

On the Xenon, although it's still a good plug, I find it colours the sound more than the Event Horizon.

Just my opinion of course...

I'd say give it a try and see what you think for yourself

Noone mentioned URS yet? Classic Console Strip Pro is one of the comps/filter I use the most.

Here's a not so well known effect . Time Freezer .

TimeFreezer - Audio and Music Instruments

PSPAudioware's plugins .

PSPaudioware.com - audio processors and effects plug-ins in VST, DirectX, MAS, AudioUnit, RTAS format for Mac and PC

Might be nice if that list was alphabetical .

McDSP plugs are the best I've used so far, Pro Tools only though unfortunately for non-PT people.
