Hey digital, so what the story with Glue, you've been using it for a while now right, can you post an example?

And I must add that Dash Signature (now NuSofting) daHornet is an amazing sounding little synth, free for windows and donationware for the new mac UB version.

You can add the following to either the 'H' or 'P' sections:

Hardcore Harmonics

PRIZM Atmospheric Construction Synth - This synth/rompler has 6 layers, 2 wave sequencers, dual arps, robust modulation matrix, excellent mixing section, 64 bit FX (including a silky smooth reverb), XY joystick, groove module for drums and bass, excellent browser with search functionality and more.

With its 16 bit 16GB or 24 bit 33GB core library, PRIZM will enable you to create morphing, evolving soundscapes and comes with a full compliment of bread and butter sounds, as well as horror/scifi sound fx. With some of the best strings and brass you have ever heard, PRIZM comes with a ton of analog, acoustic and modelled brass, symphonic strings, keys of all types, bass, vocals, woodwinds and more.

Check out Hardcore Harmonics for more details.

Yep, I'm a regular on KVR and many other forums, but somewhat new to Gearslutz (have seen it and searched it here and there, but never actually joined it till today).

i use Izotope Ozone on EVERYTHING. once you get good at it, it makes preliminary mastering an hour-long affair ("preliminary" = what you can do yourself for free, i'm sure it would come out better if you sent it away to an M.E., but far as i can tell it still does a really damn good job).

they may be on youtube, but izotope has released how-to videos for ozone. i recommend them as nothing short of essential viewing if you want to learn what you should be doing to a track after the mixing stage.

Wait a minute, this thread doesn't seem to be about 'best plugins', just a list of plugins that everybody uses (everyone will think what they use is best).

Yeah but the 'best' plugin is completely subjective

That's what I mean! So there's not much point to doing it, at least not in this way. (Actually I don't think best is completely subjective, if you really wanted to you could test all and eliminate most based on some criteria, then be left with a core of very good (best?) plugins).

I thought the first poster's idea was to get some information about what is 'best' (what plugins are really good - Softube, Algorithmix, Nebula, Flux, etc) so he can use them, but again it's just a list of people saying "I use this" and trying to make the biggest list.

That's ok though if that's what was intended!! Just that many people will click the thread hoping to see what plugs to buy and be walloped with a huge list, good and bad.

Cheers
