And another one being sold. Do people just not like the xs? Or is it the economy?

also, looking for some advice here. the op has a feedback rating at 19, but it just looks like he has bought a bunch of clothes... now all of a sudden he is selling a rfxs from isreal, strange? no? because I may buy it. I can't get an effing xs over here in canada

I asked him what the serial # is and he answered Serial# FRXS132.
That sounds about right for where Jered is in the XS run.
I have seen several XS units go up for sale in the past few months. (ebay, VSE, etc)
If you don't want this one, there will be another.

I wouldn't trust a seller from Israel with no feedback.

But maybe that's just me .

thing is they ordered a few a while ago (months) and they still haven't recieved any. And now the fr website says they are sold out! I shot them (fr) an email to ask about if moog got any before they sold out and it sounds like they didn't... I sure did want one before christmas! but unless i see an ebay one that I feel good about I guess I'll have to wait

If you owned one, you would know right away it's the economy. You'd have to tear the XS away from my frozen dead hands. It's a freaking amazing synth. I actually can't believe the XSes I've seen for sale. But I can see it hand in hand with the bad economy.

I recommended the XS to someone on another forum and after he bought his first, he went out and bought a 2nd one. What is it that... 4 Osc and 2 Subs stikestike

So Jared is sold out for now. Does he have a waiting list?

The xs is a fantastic synth, and for how it sounds and what it can do, it is an amazing bargain. I was actually on the phone with Jared a few days ago to order a second one (!) but he had sold the last 5 units he had in a couple of days.

In any case, I know nothing about the buyer, etc, but if you like the semi-modular concept, and you are looking for a synth that can go from warm to tremendously aggressive, I'd consider one of these. It's not nearly as flexible as, say, a Cwejman s1m2, but then again, the Cwejman is 3x more expensive. And they sound very different, but I wouldn't say that the xs sounds inferior...

Edit - i was under the impression that they only sell direct now. If another store has one, I think that they've had it for awhile...

well i'll just sit in wait for a moog to get theirs or a great deal on ebay (can't deny a used one AND an extra little goodie of my choice for the price of a new one). Wish me luck you lucky frxs owning bastards!

I do own one. It just surprises me how many are being sold used. I would NEVER sell mine.

I think that they haven't updated it then - I called them about 2 weeks ago after seeing that, and they said that they sold their last one.

I think I'm happy I passed on this one. There is no feedback for the transaction... looks like it didn't end up happening somehow. Although these things seem damn hard to find lately.
