My MoPho just arrived

Taking pictures now. Will have them uploaded within the hour! Just one thing... all these pics don't do the color justice. It's actually almost ORANGE!

Thanks for the Evolver size comparison. It makes it look gigantic!

Funny I went through the exact process yesterday - waking up to my MOPHO from Nova Musik.
Mine was serial #65!

Dave has such an interesting design scheme. I mean come on, they look so cheerful and happy, like a Blueberry-Banana synth smoothie.

Until of course you hear them, and they bitch slap you with evil wretching goodness.

One word could sum it up... BIG! And that's w/o the sub oscillators on! It sounds wonderful. It's a single voice Prophet 08. With the additions of the 2 subs of course. I've only just been running through the presets so far. I'll be digging into the editor pretty soon here!

What does it do when you press "PUSH IT"? So it is actually the concept of a pro-1 ?
Interesting.....

rachel

It has a couple of different functions. You can set what note it plays, the velocity, and if it holds that note or not. It will also start/hold the sequencer as well.

It's only a concept of the Pro-One in as much as the Pro-One is a 1 voice Prophet 5. This is a 1 voice Prophet 08.

Are there differences between the knobs on the evo and mopho? I assume both have endless encoders?

Can the mopho do acid stuff?

Yup. Except the volume knob.

I'm no authority on the acid genre and I don't own a 303, but it's got a couple of thick and squiggly "303" patches that sound really good IMO. Certainly it would blend right in with that scene if programmed properly.

Wow, this thing retails at $400? That's incredible, even for a mono. Cheaper than a MicroKorg/SH-201, and I can only imagine light years better. I am definitely intrigued. Seems like a great choice for analog bass for such a small price tag.

Not sure about beefy but pretty good.. They still have nothing on a Moog for deepness, but they have their own thing going on.
