Best Double Tier Keyboard Stand
Ok, I know this is probably not the best room to post but since many people here own a TON of synths and a TON of stands will probably be really helpful.

I got a Virus TI Keyboard, and next year will get a second synth probably with a similar size.

I need a stand that will be solid built and also to have enough room between the 2 synths so you can tweak both at the same time, so to speak.

So far I looked at the Quik-Lok Z716+Z726...heard nothing but good things about it.

Im not planning to tour with it or anything, its just for my studio.

Any suggestions?

There are some really cheap ones that only have single bars for the "X" supports - avoid these. Get one that has double "X" bars and longer bars at the base and I'm sure it'll work just fine. If you're in the US and have any Guitar Center or Sam Ash stores around, they should stock plenty of different stands of varying sturdiness and price.

Here's a nice two-tier stand I purchased last week - it is made by Pro-Line. As you can see, plenty of room between the tiers.

How about a three-tier one:



It's iron... weighs a ton but it can handle a ton, too...

The Ultimate stands are very stable, look really cool (a totally insignificant point of course ) and are easily transportable - low weightr and pack up small.

Look up Ultimate AX-48S (silver) or AX-48B (black).

Ive got my andromeda and motif XS6 (total value £2750), with a combined weight of 4 metric tonnes, on a two tier single braced keyboard stand that cost £18 from Gear 4 Music. Im not sure if Im an idiot or not.

I've got an Ultimate AX-48B and it's great. It's really easy to setup, packs up really small (including a carry handle) and it can handle absolutely loads of weight (over 50kg per tier). As I have a Jupiter 8 sitting on it, that's a definate plus point as it destroyed the x-stand I was using!

I have an almost identical question, but with one additional stipulation: no x-braces. I need to be able to slip a rack underneath my keyboard stand. Suggestions?

I have a VOX AC30 under my lowest keyboard using the Ultimate AX-48B. Plenty of space under there....
