| Roland MKS-7 and/or masters of sysex, help! So...I need a midi controller for the MKS-7 to control its parameters (filter, etc.). I have a Juno, but would very much prefer something small. I tried buying a Kenton Spin Doctor, which seemed ideal, because it sent sysex, and was only knobs. But...when I installed the system profile for the juno onto it, it only allowed me to control about 6 different parameters. More importantly, the knobs now sent discrete numbers, which meant that the filter cutoff, for instance, was not continuous like it was when using a juno to control it...ie, you could heard the different steps of the cutoff point, which is horrible! can any controller avoid this? does anybody have any solutions? What about the PG controllers, do they really not work on mks-7's? Thanks slutz |
