I have similar issues with ADSR... Sometimes it is working (depends on the slider A position). Anyway, its working weirdly - doesn't fade the sound completely, which can still be heard. I recently disassembled and removed slider for cleaning. Desoldered, disassembled it, broke one "ear", cleaned it up, and assembled again with the help of thin copper wire and soldered. And that slider works perfectly, but there are 33 more sliders! =) Did you try to modulate filter with ADSR? May be the signal is not simply routed through ADSR block? |

Hi - You can buy brand new slider kits for your Oddy from Synth Restore (google em)... I just finished replacing ALL my sliders....

I had a similar symptom on my Odyssey and it turned out to be a dirty switch. It was the KYBD GATE / LFO REPEAT switch just below the ATTACK slider. Try cleaning that & see if it fixes it. Another way to troubleshoot it - does the AR envelope work properly when triggered from the keyboard? If so, it means the KYBD GATE signal is OK, and it's just the connection from the GATE to the ADSR, like maybe at the switch as mentioned.

| So, how is it? Are these sliders ok? I've heard they are little tighter than original? And also, are all original sliders linear? I've been told that some of them could have logarithmic action.

I guess I have a solution for the problem. I've got a sliders kit and yesterday installed half of them. After that I switched on the arp and found out that the AR env stopped working. It looked like there's no env at all. Then I used a tester and found out that R slider is dead (i guess I broke it when tried to align the contacts too hard). So i changed it and was really happy - not only AR started to work , but ADSR is working correctly from now on. I guess some of yout ADRS slider broke the cirquit, so in order to fix the envelope, you just need to replace the broken slider. fix: if the ADSR triggers the filter then the problem is different |
