| Clavia Nord Stage 88 verses Kurzweil PC3X Clavia Nord Stage 88 verses Kurzweil PC3X I'm looking for an 88-key keyboard with excellent weighted action and great sounds. This will be for home and studio use only, not live use. All I care about is the quality of the keyboard (action and feel), and the quality of the sounds. I'd love to hear some opinions / comparisons of each regarding the fingerboard action / feel, and sounds. Which has the most authentic piano sounds? Thanks ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| I have both and would recomend the pc3x for your needs, The Nord is great but the PC3x is just as good or Better sound wise, but lots more of it and action feels nicer (I had the weighted and still have the un-weighted waterfall action (same chasis as electro 73) nord stage, I sold the weighted 76 version and kept the 73 waterfall stage version) I did not like the Nord weighted fatar action as much even though they come from the same stable (Fatar) PC3x feels nicer to me not sure what the difference is (it's tp40L on this PC3x over here in UK. In the USA it is different version of tp40 I think, not sure what Fatar version is on the weighted nord but did not feel as good to me (from memory) I got rid of it a few months ago) it semed to have a shallow key throw and did not like the spring noise I could hear on key return unless I had a duff version. the only thing is the Kurz is not quite fully finnished op system wise has a few minor bugs being ironed out (should be done by this weekend or next week) O/S 1.1 (I think) cleans everything up.. |
