Electribe in Ableton/Reason

Has anyone here mapped a Korg Electribe to use as a controller for Reason or Ableton? I've got an ES-1 I'm not really using so much. I like the grittyness of the samples, and I like the ease of programming, and especially the roll function. I was just curious to see if anyone has tried this.

Well,

Just tried it, I haven't mapped any of the ES-1 knobs to control Reason, however, just being able to control a Redrum with the drum sequencer on the ES-1 is really nice. I'm using a Kontrol 49 as my MIDI interface, so it's got a decent number of knobs for controlling the Redrum.

It's really great for programming my Reason "Analog Drum Machine" Combinator. It basically consists of a Mixer 14:2, a Redrum (with no samples loaded) and then 10 Thor Synths with 10 different 808 type patches. I'm running a cable out of each channel of the Redrum, into each of the Thor Sequencer Control's Gate Input.

Now I just need to pick up a few more MIDI cords so I can run the Electribe from Reason's MIDI clock.

Well, finally got everything hooked up, MIDI ins & outs. I can get the 'Tribe's clock to sync, and it will trigger my "analog drum machine" Combi in Reason, but I don't have any MMC in either direction. I've tried every MIDI channel on the 'Tribe, and can't figure out what to monkey with in Reason to get it. I don't want to lose control of Reason from my Kontrol49 though.

So here's the Setup.

17" MacBook Pro 2.6 gHz, 4 GB RAM
Reason 4.0
Kontrol49 Connected via USB
Korg Electribe ES-1 connected via MIDI to Kontrol49.

MIDI Out from Electribe goes to MIDI In Kontrol
MIDI Out A from Kontrol goes to MIDI In on Electribe

Reason is set up with Kontrol49 as the Attatched Surface, set as the Master Keyboard.

Master Keyboard Input is set Standard

Under Advance Control, Bus A, B, C, and D, are all set as KONTROL49 MIDI IN.

MIDI Clock Sync is KONTROL 49 IN.

Reason's sync is Internal right now.
