| Doepfer MS 404 I just bought one of these on the bay. I need a monophonic that can somewhat fill the void of not having my x0xb0x yet :(. Anybody? Demos please! There's one on youtube but, how about used in a set? MP3s will do if somebody has made a track with this, let me know what's up? I haven't found much talk about it in the search or maybe I'm blind. I've heard one other mp3 demo and it sounds mighty fine for what it does, sooo come on, post up your demos of this unit, get me excited to receive it! [And I just bought my last keyboard I think! I have no more room with a SK-50D in here. My studio is my living room ;) and well, at least there are walking paths!] Thanks in advance anybody with MS404 demos willing to share! -d

I'll get some demos in the future. Anyways, I had a 303 here for a few weeks. It went off to Germany though. I liked it, but I couldn't afford it so somebody in Germany took it for me on ebay and the guy shipped to the US only ;) so it came here and I sent it on its way just last week to Germany to the rightful owner who did pay the seller for it, heehee. 1200 dollars wasn't a bad deal, but at the time, I had lost my fifth gear in my car after winning it! So I had to buy a new part for my car [priorities] and after playing with it, I wanted a x0xb0x :-D after locals let me play with theirs, and here I sit on a forever waiting list :( Just wanted something to fill the void, yup. -d

| i got a 404 and its great :) doesn't sound anything like a 303, but that is a good thing. More 70's sound. best thing is you can feed any audio through the filter and overdrive it, and the filter is the best thing about it! full and fat sounding. great sound for bass and some leads. its quite limited in its sounds, but what it can do it sounds great. if you get any crackling with any knobs (due to dirt getting in), try some circuit cleaner sprayed into the front of them (don't bother trying to open it, no need) hope you enjoy it! |
