Your mental state when you wrote the song shouldn't impact it's ProTools compatability.

A tough question, sarcasm aside we ARE talking about two totally different systems that are not compatible, but there may be hope.

It would take some work, like converting your loops to a format PTs can read like wave, importing each loop separately to its own track, matching tempo and carefully aligning your waveforms. Please correct me if I am mistaken GS readers, but if you can align imported loops to PT’s grid mode, you may be able to take advantage of Beat detective and properly time correct loop start points. I wouldn't count on changing the tempo in PTs after that.

As far as mixing, most loops in ACID format already have reverb, eq and effects on them so I would be careful about what I add to these loops. If you have a drum loop that has kick, snare and hi-hats all in one waveform, I don't see how you would be able to eq separate drum sounds individually, you would only be able to edit the loop as a whole.

If it's more separation you are after, quit using ACID and use something like REASON or LOGIC, something that CAN work seamlessly within a PTs environment. Hope this helps...

last i used it Acid had an export to wav by track function.
i'd export by track then re-import the batch into the new program. i wouldnt expect programs devloped by different companies to read each others formats.
