What's the correct directory for ext. Plugs in Logic 8?

hi there!
i've recently become a logic-user and wonder, what the right directory for my "electric piano" (native instruments) is? i tried some different, but it didn't show up anywhere in the logic 8 library....
could anybody please tell me the correct installing-path?
thanks a lot!

it will install in the right place by itself. logic 8 library? you mean for the EXS24? That's different. EXS24 is logic's native sampler. Electric Piano is a plug in instrument in AU format. No user editable samples.
for logic 7 the path for AU instruments (Components) is:
Library - Audio- Plug-ins - Components
Don't mess with it yourself if you do not know your way round this part of the OS. Just use the provided installer. Kontakt2 I could install in the "Applications" folder.

There's no problem with the EXS24 or other Logic Plugs, and I'd better not try, to change the directory structur of the software. That's all in the right place, I guess. In my case logic can't find the "Electric Piano"-software by the company "Native Instruments".
Unfortunaltely there wasn't an installing path provided, just the "Macintosh Disk" was recommanded. So -after some hard thinking- I tried the "Applications" folder, but that didn't help, still the plugin would not show up in the Logic library, a restart didn't help either.... And I couldn't find any advice in the manual.
Who's got any other idea?

Thanks a lot so far!

It doesn't show up as an AU instrument on the input of an "instrument track" in the arrange? You don't have to open it seperately from logic: it's a plugin.

the folder structure will be

library-application support-audio-plugins-components
or
home-library-application support-audio-plugins-components

on an intel mac, if you find EP in either of those folders then you may find that Electric Piano is PPC only and logic is an Intel app which won't work. if you installed komplete 4 from disc then it is PPC only and you will need to update EP from NI's website.

another possibility is that for some reason it didn't pass AU validation so in logic in the pref menu, choose AU manager and see if it's in the list and you can enable it

Thanks so far,
EP dosn't show up in the AU-manager, even not after a scan. I guess the point is, that I don't have an internet connection for my Mac Pro yet, only for my old laptop, on wich I'm writing this. Probably a few updates will solve my problems.
One more question: Do I have to install EP complete, or as an "Audio Unit"?

I'll tell you more about it, after got some updates

it should be fine with just the Audio unit.
if it doesn't show up, something might have went wrong during the install. (try again? contact NI?)
