Live audio rendering in Cubase
Hi everyone,

I've been watching the "In the Studio" video of D Ramirez

In the Studio with D Ramirez - Part 1: Setting Up and Choosing Sounds

and how he uses the hardware synth with software effects in Logic (using Real Instrument chanel) rendering audio in real time without recording audio first and it made me think that it's great idea to try that... Does anybody know how to do it in Cubase? Is it live monitoring of the Audio track?

Annoyingly, Cubase won't let you touch anything while Exporting, so the only way to do it is to route the synth (or whatever you want to tweak live) out and back in to your soundcard and record it as an audio input. I'm sure Soundflower would be able to do this too but I've never used it personally.

Well, I actualy ment without playing sequencer at all... Is there any way to render external oudio in real time using VST effects in Cubase? 'Cause that would be fun...
